Menus for After School Meals
Connecting Kids To Meals is a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which is another Child Nutrition Program established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Under the Afterschool Meal Program, we provide and serve hot, nutritious meals to children enrolled in afterschool programs located in low-income and underserved areas. Children receive hot meals at no cost during their educational and enrichment activities and this enables them to focus and learn at their maximum capacity.
During the 2017 – 2018 school year, we provided over 1700 healthy meals daily to children in 45 different after school programs. Currently we are enrolling sites for this 2018 – 2019 school year. Please refer to the information below to see if your organization qualifies to become a partner site:
❖ Must be a school or church or a non-profit organization with a 501 federal tax-exempt letter
❖ Must be in or near a school with at least 50% or more of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunches
❖ Must provide educational activities such as, but not limited to homework assistance, life skills, arts, sports, music, etc.
